The story, as reported by the LA Weekly:
Jack is eight years old (corrected in LA Weekly‘s update from six).
Jack plays some form of Call of Duty.
Jack’s step-dad is being deployed to Iraq.
At school, Jack drew a picture of something having to do with Call of Duty and wrote a suicide-related statement on the picture.
Jack was strapped into an ambulance, driven to a hospital, and put on a 72-hour “psychiatric hold.”
Did the school act correctly or not? Should an eight year old be playing an “M” rated game? Read the LA Weekly article for the full(er) story.
