I seem to remember my wife’s uterus beating a tad harder than normal when we saw the current ad for Oreos: featuring a son who wakes his father up early for a stroke-of-midnight Father’s Day treat.

And yes, I immediately thought “oh my god, Oreos would be the bomb right now.” A man’s stomach, of course, is the equivalent of a woman’s uterus.

Ace Metrix, an ad-testing firm, gave the Oreo spot a score of 629, which was 35 points (22%) above the norm of 594.

Oreo also had the highest-rated Mother’s Day ad as well. Because fathers and mothers can both appreciate the deadly combo of palm oil, high fructose corn syrup, and vaguely chocolate-like stuff. But if the ad works, it works. The numbers, as they say, don’t lie.
