One father in Kentucky will be making sure he always checks his grocery cart twice before leaving the store. This last tuesday, the dad in question was loading his groceries into his car in a Kroger parking lot in Jessamine County, Kentucky. The father of three drove off, but had forgotten something: his 6 month old.

The father called the police and high-tailed it back to the grocery store. At the same time, a couple found the baby in the cart and brought him back into the store, also calling the police.

No criminal charges will be filed against the bonehead father – but the case will be handed over to social services. Which, for the record, is sometimes worse than just getting fined.
