This week’s Podcast Question of the Week is about teens and popularity:

Would You Rather Your Teen Be Friendless or Too Popular?

This is a tough question because we’re asking you to consider an ultimatum. Earlier this week, we talked about Jonah’s YouTube video, and how bullying and internet culture are colliding. It got us thinking; would we rather have a kid who doesn’t have any friends and feels alone and picked-on…or would we rather have a kid who’s “too-popular” and more susceptible to peer pressure and all of the dangers that go along with it.

A kid without friends is at the risk of suicide, but a kid that’s too popular is at the risk of teenage drinking, drugs and teen pregnancy.

And of course, we all want to say that we’ll teach our kids better than to fall for social pressures. But imagine for a moment that your kid’s got to be one of “The Breakfast Club,” specifically Molly Ringwald or Judd Nelson. Which one’s worse?

We want to know! Leave your answer in the comments here and we’ll read some of your answers on our podcast, Sunday, 12/11!
