Awesome NJ Girl Fights for Her Gay Fathers’ Right to Marry

Last week, after five hours of testimony, the Judiciary Committee of the New Jersey General Assembly approved legislation in favor of gay marriage. On February 13, the full state Assembly will vote on that legislation. Known-pickle Governor Chris Christie will then see the bill on his desk if the full Assembly approves it. The star of the Assembly committee meeting was 15 year old Madison Galluccio, adopted daughter of Jon and Michael Galluccio, whose speech you can hear after the jump.

BTW, the Galluccios also wrote a book about their fight for same-sex adoption in 2002 called “An American Family“. New Jersey was the first state in the union to allow same-sex adoption in 1997.
