Sunday, December 2, the Greer Campaign honored nine Tennessee dads at their Second Annual Fatherhood Banquet.
The Jackson, Tennessee non-profit organization is in its second year and holds parenting classes for local fathers. The classes aim to inform fathers of their rights and responsibilities to their children, and help them reach their full potential. Think of Sunday’s banquet as the Greer Campaign’s graduation ceremony.
The campaign was founded by New Orleans Saints cornerback Jabari Greer, a native of Jackson, and father of four.
Though Greer himself was not able to attend the ceremony, he did talk to the graduating fathers via Skype to let them know that he was proud of them.
The Greer Campaign classes follow a curriculum set up by the National Fatherhood Initiative, and are free to local dads.
If you’re in the Jackson, Tennessee area and wish to attend the next set of classes, you can register now – classes start in January, 2013.
