My son decided that he wanted to donate some toys to kids that don’t have as much as we do. I told my son that I’d match his donation with stuff of my own. Somehow, we decided to make it a challenge. That’s how simply the #Donate3Challenge started!
This challenge is easy: grab your camera or phone and film yourself gathering three items you’d like to donate to the charity of your choice. Once you’ve got your items, challenge your friends to do the same! Have fun in your video and hashtag it with #Donate3Challenge – post it to your favorite sharing site – Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter…wherever your friends will see it!
Here’s our video:
My son is proud that he helped create this challenge, and his wish is to see everyone take on the spirit of giving while challenging our friends in a fun way.
Want to donate food instead of toys or items? Do it! Want to donate more than three items? Go for it – but don’t make anyone feel bad for donating less than you. The #Donate3Challenge is about donating a couple of things to charity and challenging our friends to donate as well. With a lot of our friends, we can do a lot of good.
Plus, let’s face it, we need a new challenge for our kids to watch on YouTube that doesn’t involve cutting things with hot knives and dumping food on each others’ heads. Let’s get our kids involved and excited to donate! The best thing we can do is to teach them to be kind and to share. This is a fun way to start.
Did you make a video? Let us know here or on social and we’ll help share it!
